The Show
Sarah and I made our way into town (Liverpool) for something we had been waiting for since early August - Robert Llewellyn's WomanWizard. We all know Robert Llewellyn as Kryten on Red Dwarf, the presenter of Scrapheap, or the author of many amazing books. But we had the chance to see him as he's never been seen before. From November 2002, to February 2003, Robert Llewellyn would be travelling across England giving live demonstrations of his groundbreaking software application, WomanWizard.

We made our way to the theatre, and to our seats. Row E seats 22 and 23. We were the first two people to book our tickets for the show, so asked for the best seats in the theatre. Apart from the fact that the spring had gone in my seat, they were pretty good.

The show didn't start with Robert, but with comedian Alex Young. He had about 20 minutes on the stage to warm us up for Robert Llewellyn. Although I had never heard of him before, his comedy was fresh, original and hugely entertaining. If Robert wasn't coming on soon, I would have liked to have seen more of this guy. I hope to see Alex make it big into the comedy world in the near future!
After Alex had finished warming us up, we had a 20 minute break to cool us back down again before Robert came on. This 20 minutes seemed to drag. I was too impatient for Rob to come on, but I was sure the wait would be worth it.
He finally came on stage and the comedy started straight away. He describes how he connects two computers and prays like fuck that they work, how he came to believe that URL stood for a urine sample, and how he got divorced for accidentally falling on a woman and sleeping with her. But that was just the beginning. Tears were already rolling down our cheeks and he hadn't even started on his software yet.

Through the aid of a projector, Robert showed us through the main features of the program. A lot of work and effort was put into creating screen shots of the main program features and the hilarious sub menu titles.

After Rob had shown us the main features of the 15 disk WomanWizard (including the arousal button), he then moved onto other Gendersoft packages, including ManWizard (which uses less space and comes on just one disk), ParentWizard, TeenWizard, ShoppingWizard, and many more. They all work in a similar way, but none are as complex as WomanWizard.
Robert ended the enjoyable evening by allowing the audience to ask him some questions. He began by first answering the questions we all wanted to know. He told us the latest on Red Dwarf: The Movie, Scrapheap Challenge and Hollywood Science. He then took questions from the audience. They ranged from his books, to becoming Kryten. I used this opportunity to ask him about his WomanWizard DVD and when it will be available to buy from his site. He told me that he hasn't yet finished making it, but would be ready soon, and that all the crap bits would be taken out (crap bits, Rob???).
Although the show had now ended, Robert was kind enough to come back on stage and allow people to have their photos taken, sign autographs and have a quick chat. He truly is a kind person. Me and Sarah got our photo taken with him:
The Verdict
WomanWizard was a truly original, and magnificent comedy. Not a second went by when I wasn't crying with laughter. Robert Llewellyn is an amazing comedian with a unique and enjoyable style. With every review I make I always try to make at least one criticism, but with 100% honesty, there is not a single thing I can criticise about the show (OK, maybe his Scouse accent could do with a little improvement, but it wouldn't be as funny if he could actually do it). I'm giving WomanWizard 10 out of 10! Thank you very much Robert Llewellyn for bringing it to us!

I went, I saw, I spoke to, I had picture taken. What an excellent night.
From URL to Fatal Relationship Error, Woman Wizard was a constant laugh and an excellent show.
The evening started with a young comedian called Alex Young. He did a very funny half hour slot to warm the crowd up. He definitely succeeded. The proof of his success was two graphs he'd given to an audience member to fill in with the temperature of the room and number of laughs and groans.
Alex was followed by a 20 minute break and then the man himself was on stage. Standing behind a lecturn with a projection screen in the center of the stage, the show began.

Starting from the Microsoft campus in America, Robert told the audience about his lack of computer knowledge, his mate Craig Charles, the unfortunate incident with his wife that led to the creation of Woman Wizard and then a look at all the possibilities of the software.
After showing us the best that WomanWizard had to offer, we also got a little look at ManWizard which takes up considerably less hard drive space and comes on one small disc. Robert then talked about the other possibilities such as ParentWizard, ChildWizard, TeenageWizard, ShoppingWiazrd and PerformanceWizard.
After the main part of the show has finished, Robert then took questions from the audience. He started by answering the most obvious ones before they were asked.
Yes there is going to be a Red Dwarf movie. Yes all the main cast are going to be in it. No he doesn't know when it's gonna be out because of problems getting all the cast together to film and stuff.
Yes he is filming a new series of Scrap Heap Challenge with bigger, louder and better machines.
And Hollywood Science will be hitting our screens in March. It's a show that looks at all the things done in films and sees if they are actually possible. Things such as Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock jumping that bus over the gap in the road or Bruce Willis jumping out of Nakatomi Towers in L.A with a fire hose tied around his waist.
The audience asked some good questions about the inspirations for his books, if he was looking forward to getting the rubber mask back on, if they ever planted things in Scrap Heap and Danny even asked Rob about the release of his DVD.
After the show, Rob came back on stage and signed a copy of one of his books, let me and Danny get our picture taken with him and was generally nice to all his fans.
I was buzzing last night and I still am today. Just an excellent show.
Robert Llewellyn is a great comedian, he worked the audience well, the show was worked out and set up brilliantly. All of the screen shots were worked out perfectly.
I'm with Dan on this one.
